Introduction to Ballet
Introduction to Ballet is a a wonderful class for the beginning dancer which covers the fundamentals, proper technique, and classic language of ballet.
Class Day/Time: Wednesdays from 3:20pm - 4:10pm
Class Location: Warrior Hall Tuition: $80/month - Billed to LRCA account
Ages: open to students K4, K5, and Grade 1
Dress for Class: Pink leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair in bun or pulled back.
Instructor: Anna Maris Kirkes, MFA
A native of Little Rock and a Little Rock Christian alumna, Anna Kirkes received her foundational dance training from Shuffles and Ballet Arkansas. Anna received a BA in Dance and Psychology from Centenary College and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from the University of Iowa, where she toured regionally around the state. After performing professionally with BalletArkansas for two seasons, Anna taught individuals of all ages in various studios and at the university level as well as working as a freelance choreographer. Relocated to Little Rock in 2015 with her husband Justin, Anna is grateful for the God-given opportunity to pursue a Master of Social Work at UALR while continuing to share her passion for dance and movement with others!
