Warriors beginning to play best Team Golf of the season.

The early season results had the Warriors concerned over returning to the state meet this season. However, after the team’s performance yesterday at Hot Springs Village on the Balboa course things appear to be coming around.  Sophomore Jens Talbert battled the entire match with the best the state has to offer and finished third overall with a 1-over par 37. Tyler Hays and Connor Weisbacker played their best golf of the season posting scores of 38 and 40 respectively. The important fourth team score was carded by Robert Whipple with a 40 (4-over par) on the front nine. The 11-over par team score was good enough for second place in a five team field just a few strokes behind the three time defending state champs Arkansas Baptist.

Even more impressive was the play of Seth Weddle (42), Garrison Coney (42), and Hayes Riser (43). The competition within the team for the fourth and fifth position will only make the team better as they continue to prepare for the regional match in Magnolia in just a few weeks.  Go Warriors!
