7th Grade Science

Seventh graders are beginning a tour of the Digestive System today! We will look at our digestive tracts plus the accessory organs that help our body turn food into fuel. We will talk about the importance of food as it relates to proper nutrition and energy. This is a fun unit to teach and learn! Next we will look at the urinary system. This is always a bit awkward but we will laugh and learn together! Kidney function and urination are vital to good health. Quickly following will be the Nervous and Endocrine systems. What's that word? Hormone? Puberty? Yes, those are middle school words! We do have hormones around here! We will learn more about what is going on in our bodies and the role that hormones play in this fascinating "drama."
