Little Rock, AR - Warriors at the Next Level - Collegiate Signing Event Three LRCA Warriors signed with NCAA Division I institutions. The collegiate signing ceremony was held Wednesday, April 14, in Warrior Arena on the Little Rock Christian Academy campus at 19010 Cantrell Road.
A few weeks ago, the members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) participated in the District Conference. Under the leadership of Mr. Jim Anderson and Mrs. Paulette Wheeler, Warriors once again performed exceptionally.
Congratulations to three high school students who were named to Arkansas All-State music groups. These students competed against all student musicians in Arkansas, from both private and public schools.

I've been spending a lot of time in the Book of Proverbs. "Get wisdom!" the Proverbs cry. I, for one, need wisdom in these volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous days.
One of the reasons I like Dr. Taylor's response to the ignominy of January 6, 2021 is his unexpected turn into the virtue of prudence. Personally, I think wisdom is the better word. Wisdom to know the difference between right and wrong.
The 2020 All-Region Choir members have been announced by the Arkansas Choir Director's Association. The list includes 6 High School Warriors.
We often speak of the Golden Triangle: the Christian home, the Christian church, and the Christian school working together on the same page and walking together in the same direction. Five fundamental expectations of our mutual relationship have passed the test of time and experience. Unity on these fundamentals is a very important indicator of our mission-effectiveness.

Congratulations to four Little Rock Christian seniors who have been named National Merit Scholars, representing the nation's top students in the Class of 2021.
Fifteen Little Rock Christian musicians have been named to the Arkansas State Band and Orchestra's All-Region (South Region) Orchestras. Several hundred students from central and south Arkansas auditioned for placement in an orchestra in September.
Congratulations to three Little Rock Christian seniors who have been named National Merit Scholars, representing the nation's top students in the Class of 2020.
Seventeen members of the LRCA choir received All Region Choir honors at the competition held in Mayflower last week. Students auditioned for select positions from among 200 individuals from across the region by performing specific musical selections as well as a sight reading piece for a panel of judges. Students placing in the top 20 chairs for each classification are qualified to audition for the all state choir, including Grace Caroline Gardner, Meg Sinha, Emma Knecht and Lyndsey Gardner.
Alumni Abby Blankenship, class of 2018, recently visited her award winning yearbook photo currently on display at the Caelum Gallery in New York City.
Ten LRCA Students in grades 7-12 named to All Region Orchestra. Auditions were held at Conway High School. Read more here.

Forty-seven of LRCA’s students and graduates have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on college-level Advance Placement Program (AP) Exams taken last May.
LRCA Class of 2018 graduate Audrey Davis was named the winner of the Central Arkansas Drain Smart competition. Drain Smart is an engaging public-education / environmental program that uses art to communicate the function and importance of local storm drains.

Members of the 2018 LRCA Yearbook Staff were recognized recently with top honors from the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association (ASPA), a state-wide community of scholastic yearbook, broadcast, film, literary magazine, online newspaper and print newspaper staffs and their advisers.
Senior Nicholas Powell has been recognized by the Arkansas Times for his academic excellence and will be featured in the April 26th issue of the Times. Nicholas is one of 20 students to be selected to the 24th Academic All-Star Team.
Third grade students were recently challenged to tackle a more difficult weaving art project. This work required dedicated practice and work outside normal art class hours. The following students rose to the challenge and created masterpieces!

I read a copy of an “Open Letter to Little Rock Christian Academy” on Facebook. Even though the letter is anonymous, I want to respond since it represents an issue that concerns so many of us. Not only that, authentic desire for dialogue and growth motivates me.
