Learner Services
Who/What is Learner Services
Overview
At Little Rock Christian Academy we believe each student is uniquely created by God. This belief informs all that we do in our distinct environment for learning. 1 Peter 4:10 illuminates our calling: “As each has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
These special gifts - age, gender, ethnicity, interests, learning style preferences, developmental stages, experiences, family make-up, genetic composition, and talents - demand a special way of teaching and we humbly accept this challenge each day in each class at LRCA.
Currently we respond to the uniqueness’ of our students through:
- leveled classes in specific subjects
- varied strategies and formats of instruction and assessment used by classroom teachers
- in class and out of class one-on-one and small group work with Learning Services professionals
- out of class experiences of interest through clubs, organizations
and activities
Further LRCA Learner Services information is available by clicking the appropriate links above or by contacting me. Should concerns arise in which we would recommend academic or psychological testing, or more intensive tutoring, we will provide families with contact information for the appropriate professionals or services.
