Little Rock Christian Academy Fine Arts Students Earn Awards

April 20, 2011

Little Rock Christian Warrior Choir recently performed at the Arkansas State Choral Performance Assessment Festival at UCA Conway.  They received an Excellent Rating from the three judges who assessed their performance of three contrasting, memorized choral selections.

Shortly afterwards, four of our high school vocal students received Division I ratings in the Arkansas State Solo Festival at ATU, Russellville.  Suzanna Gibbs, Shelby Davis, Taylor Quick and Carter Neblett each sang a contest-grade solo from memory for a judge, who scored and critiqued their overall presentations.  They each received a Division I Medal for their outstanding performances.

Meanwhile, the LRCA Warrior Band brought home 55 medals at solo and ensemble competition.  Every single student and ensemble brought home a medal, a first in the career of Danielle Hodges, LRCA Band Director.
