Little Rock Christian Students Selected for Arkansas Governor's SchoolApril 18, 2011 This year, six students from Little Rock Christian Academy have been selected to attend the 2011 Arkansas Governor’s School. One student has been selected as an alternate. Those selected and assigned to the social sciences area are Ruthie Daniel, Erica Green, Courtney Hampton, Brittany Johnston, Anastasia Peregrin and assigned to English Language Arts is Chloe Wren. The student selected as alternate is Wesley White who is also assigned to the social sciences area of study. Selection for Governor’s School is based on a combination of ability and interest and is highly competitive. This year alone, the AGS received almost 600 applications from 98 schools, representing 45 counties. The four week intensive program is in its thirty-second year. Little Rock Christian is proud of these seven junior students.
