J-Term Mission Trips Speak Out
January 25, 2011
During high school chapel, Little Rock Christian Academy’s January Term (J-Term) mission trip students spoke about their experiences abroad. Here’s what several of them had to say:

JAMAICA:
We shared a bond personally and spiritually and we worked together really well. We dug ditches, mixed concrete, tiled and painted. We visited orphanages and saw children who wanted love, craved attention. We gave away a piece of our hearts during the week to the children…. Being satisfied and completing our purpose that God called us to do is what it was all about. One purpose… loving the Lord and loving others…. If we surrender our worries God will give us peace even though our future is unknown.
-Rachel Stone, senior
GUATEMALA:
The relationships from last year’s trip made an everlasting impact… We did what we were called to do…. We were so lucky to be there…. Until you take that step, you won’t know what the Lord has in store for you.
– Taylor Ann Allred, junior
BAHAMAS:
It was the first mission trip where I cried when I left. I was attached to how lost the high school students were… it broke my heart. It was an eye opening experience. We shared our testimonies and used them to impacts kids there…we’re starting to make a difference… I can’t wait to go back.
– Victoria DuBose, sophomore
AFRICA:
We visited a school in the slums and brought them visual aids…they were in awe and so grateful for all the supplies provided by LRCA….They’re so happy despite everything they’ve been through- grateful for everything they have- and they have nothing. It has made me more grateful for what we have at LRCA.
- Catherine Bostwick, sophomore
In each of the students’ remarks, they were thankful for LRCA providing the opportunity to serve in foreign countries around the world through J-Term. Each group expressed positive comments about valuable learning experiences in the real world.
