LRCA Sophomores Help at Rice DepotNovember 18, 2010 The students of LRCA’s sophomore class chose to do a service project at the Rice Depot in order to help for Thanksgiving. The whole sophomore class participated. The kids were divided into six groups and volunteered to do everything from weeding flower beds and raking leaves to bagging rice, corn, hot dog and hamburger buns, bread and French fries to labeling and boxing large cans of food. Overall, the students boxed up enough food to serve 8,000-10,000 meals! They had such a great time and they all worked hard. This class truly demonstrated the “go-give” spirit. Way to go sophomores!
