Students Compete in State Foreign Language Festival

Six foreign language students competed in the State Foreign Language Festival on the campus of UCA on Saturday, March 1st.

Competing in French:
Avery Ricks earned first place and distinguished honors in extemporaneous reading, second place with a rating of advanced in poetry recitation, and third place with a rating of proficient in extemporaneous speaking for level II French.
Mary Mulford earned first place and distinguished honors in poetry recitation, and second place with a rating of advanced in extemporaneous reading in advanced level French.

Competing in Spanish:
Aaron Fields earned third place and distinguished honors in extemporaneous reading for level I Spanish.
Ryan Wicker earned distinguished honors in extemporaneous reading for level I Spanish.
Laura Bonner earned third place and a rating of advanced in extemporaneous reading for level III Spanish.
Maggie Head earned a ranking of proficient in extemporaneous reading for level III Spanish.
