LRCA Student Receives NCTE Award

Photo: Laura Grace TarpleyIt is with great pleasure that LRCA’s English Department announces Laura Grace Tarpley as the recipient of the 2009 NCTE Superior Writing Award.  Laura Grace was one of 544 who received the award out of 1,783 students who participated in the national contest.  Furthermore, she was one of eight winners in the state of Arkansas.  In addition to Laura Grace’s success in the NCTE Contest, her senior portfolio was recognized with a Certificate of Merit for The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of 2010. 

The LRCA English Department would like to express its gratitude to Laura Grace for continuing its students’ tradition of using their God given talents to bring glory and honor to His name.
