Little Rock Christian Academy Receives College
Readiness Recognition

Little Rock Christian Academy has received the 2009 College Readiness Award from the Arkansas ACT Council for increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment over the past five years and significantly increasing the level of achievement and college readiness.
The Arkansas ACT Council is comprised of secondary and post secondary educators who advise ACT, Inc. on the utilization of ACT programs and services in Arkansas schools and colleges. ACT, Inc. is the not-for-profit organization that provides assessment, research, information and program management services in the areas of education and workforce development. It is also the publisher of the ACT Assessment a college admissions test.
According to Karen L. Pennell, Assistant Vice President and ACT Southwest Regional Manager, “The Arkansas ACT Council wanted to recognize the Arkansas high schools that have made significant strides in college readiness as demonstrated by increases in their ACT scores over the past five years. This is a result of the dedication from Little Rock Christian Academy faculty, students and parents to focus on increasing their level of college readiness. Less than 10% of high schools in Arkansas were honored for this superior level of achievement.”
