LITTLE ROCK CHRISTIAN ACADEMY VIOLINIST WINS STATE TITLE, FIVE ALL-STATE VOCALISTS PERFORM AT STATE MUSIC CONVENTION

Little Rock – March 3, 2009

Little Rock Christian Academy student Yee Jin Lee (Ye-Jin) was recently selected to 1st chair Concert Master for the state of Arkansas.  Ye-Jin is a senior at LRCA and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Yeong H. Lee.  She is currently studying under the direction of Ryan Mooney, a member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.  Ye-Jin has been an Associate Concert Master in the Arkansas Youth Orchestra for the past four years.

On February 19-21, five LRCA vocalists performed at the All-State Clinic and Concerts at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  The students were chosen for this honor through a competitive process held this year across the state at region and state levels.  Below is a list of the LRCA students selected to join an All-State ensemble:

Ashley Briggs – 27th Chair Alto II- Women’s Choir
Molly Morledge – 26th Chair Alto II- Women’s Choir
Hannah Beth Fugett – 34th Chair Alto I- Women’s Choir
Michael Thompson – 40th Chair Tenor I – Men’s Choir
Carter Neblett – 45th Chair Tenor I – Men’s Choir
