The University of Tulsa Awards Presidential Scholarships to Little Rock Christian Seniors

Little Rock – May 7, 2009

Tim Nissen, son of Jeffrey and Sue Nissen, and John Lepine, son of Bob and Mary Ann Lepine, were recently awarded Presidential Scholarships from The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Nissen and Lepine are both National Merit Finalists.  Nissen has chosen Bio Chemistry as his major while Lepine will study Economics and History.  “Tim and John are amazing young men.  They are blessed with creative and profound thinking and are gifted in introducing new extracurricular ventures”, said Joe Neff, Upper School Principal at Little Rock Christian Academy.  “The University of Tulsa will enjoy them."

Admitted freshmen designated as National Merit finalists who select The University of Tulsa as their institution of choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation are considered eligible for the scholarship.  The scholarship includes full tuition and basic room and board for four years.  The value of the scholarship is approximately $140,000.
