Johnny Watson Named 5A Coach of the Year

Johnny Watson has been named 5A Coach of the Year at the annual State Farm/Hootens dinner and awards ceremony.   Coach Watson was joined by Coach Rick Jones from Greenwood and Coach Jim Stanley from Vilonia as finalists for this year’s honor.

Prior to this award Coach Watson had received the Coach of the Year title from the 5A West Conference,  Little Rock Touchdown Club, and  Arkansas Sports 360 Magazine which also named the Little Rock Christian Warriors as Team of the Year. 

Coach Watson has also been nominated as the AAA All-Star Coach which will be voted on in January.  The All Star Football game takes place in June in Fayetteville. 

Congratulations to Coach Watson on receiving these well-deserved accolades.
