LRCA PTF Mission

Ambassador Program

This spring the Ambassador Program got underway as new students were accepted into Little Rock Christian Academy. They were matched up with a student in their same grade. The ambassadors met with them over the summer at their house, Larry's pizza, or an ice cream place.

For sixth, seventh and eighth grade families, Little Rock Christian hosted small parties for all the girls and boys so they could meet more than just one student. This gave the students opportunities to meet a number of kids in their grade and hopefully made the transition to middle school easier on the first day of school.

The Ambassador Program hosted two parties this summer to welcome new students to LRCA. We had an elementary back to school build your own sundae party for new incoming kindergarten families through fifth grade in the Elementary Gym. We also had a back to school pool party for sixth through eighth graders at St. Charles neighborhood pool. Both parties were a huge success.

Two of the major Parent Teacher Fellowship’s (PTF) fundraisers for the 2011-12 school year included WarriorFest and “Pigskins and Paintbrushes” Auction.  WarriorFest, a school-wide carnival like event held on the campus of LRCA featured many fun activities, good food and entertainment from our many talented students.  The auction followed the next weekend in the High School Commons highlighting classroom art projects, school donated experiences, getaways and other exciting live and silent auction items. Together, both these events raised $75,000 for the school.  This significant amount will directly benefit all teachers and students!  Thank you to all who were so diligently involved in making these events so successful.

The auction is truly a labor of love. An untold incalculable amount of hours went into making the auction happen. Dedicated committee members with a strong desire to love and serve God were the driving force behind making Pigskins and Paintbrushes a huge success! Each successful annual auction we host continues to keep Little Rock Christian ahead of the rest! On behalf of the entire auction committee, thank you.

 --Cindy Dillaha-Lemley,  Auction Chair

First and foremost, I want to say “Thank You” to our Lord, for without him, our event would not have had a beautiful day… or the crowds of families… or the fellowship among His people. Secondly, I want to give a sincere “Thank You” to the PTF Chairs for both of these events.  C’ella, Tammy and Cindy put in MANY, MANY hours of hard work and were able to convince A LOT of parents at our school to volunteer.  They were able to collect sponsorships required to make this event happen.  We are truly blessed to have volunteers with such a heart for our school.  These events allow us to help fill the “WISHLIST” of our staff/teachers that is not in the school budget. I also want to thank the many families who came out to enjoy the day and support our school, for without you, we would not have been successful.

 --Marijane Pfeiffer, PTF President

LRCA would like to send a huge thank you to our PTF for all their hard work and dedication in these fundraisers and all the efforts that they continue to so graciously put forth on behalf of our school!  These ladies are some of the hardest workers and most diligent parents around and we are fortunate to call them Warriors!

Staff Appreciation

February 13-16th!

The PTF sets aside a couple of different times a year to show
our staff and teachers (about 200) how much we appreciate
them.

If you would like to help show your appreciation, please contact our Staff Appreciation chair Beverly Hall at bhall3@sbcglobal.net or 501–519–6060.

See our Take Charge of Education flyer for more information and details on how to participate in this program and take advantage of this amazing opportunity for our school.

PTF continues to ask for participation in our lunch service.
Many are saying they love it, much healthier options and the ordering
is so easy. Are you tired of making lunches for your kids? Do you
wonder if a hot lunch would be better for them? If your kids haven't
tried it yet, please do. For questions, concerns or comments please
email ptf@littlerockchristian.com.

Dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, time enjoyed together as a school community and smiling faces, by those standards WarriorFest was a huge success.  We are so thankful to the Ford Company for allowing us to participate in the "Drive One for Your School" program.  Also, to Crain Ford for all the support and the 22 brand new cars they sent to our campus so we would have plenty of cars for test drives.  Also, to Catering RX for supplying the food which was delicious!  We had a few new attractions this year.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the photo booth, the sugar art and G-force.  We got to experience the smart boards our kids use, in our technology tent.  The talent showcase was a hit, as usual.  We are so thankful to our families and our school for all the support.  And a special thanks to Dr. Arnold for kissing a pig and to our teachers/staff for getting a ‘Pie in the Face’!
