Elementary Dress Code

Enforcement:

School administration has the final word for student appearance for all school events and reserves the right to change any of the dress code at any time.

Required Uniform:

The required shirt is a short sleeved green polo shirt with LRCA’s emblem and name embroidered on it This shirt, purchased from the Warrior Wear Store, may be worn any day to school. It is required for field trips and other designated days such as class programs.

Warrior Wear:

Every Friday as well as other announced days during the year will be designated as Warrior Wear days. Students may wear a Warrior shirt with uniform bottoms. Warrior shirts should follow the same guidelines as shirts for no uniform days as described in the handbook. Boys or girls may choose to wear a Warrior football jersey over a shirt. Girls, K3-1st grade, may also choose to wear a Warrior cheerleading uniform.

Pants, shorts, and jeans:

Uniform pieces are expected to be worn at the waist without being oversized or too tight. Knit pants are not appropriate. Pants are to be in good condition, free from rips, holes, and tears.

Shirts:

Uniform pieces are expected to be tucked in and fit correctly without being oversized, too tight, or worn as jackets. All shirts should have a collar. Shirts should have no emblems other than the LRCA emblem. Shirts are to be in good condition, free from rips, holes, and tears.

Shoes and socks:

Shoes are to be closed toe, neat, and clean. Tennis shoes are to be worn on P.E. days and as part of the field trip uniform. Socks are to be worn at all times. Shoes and socks may be any style and color.


DRESS CODE - BOYS

Shorts – elastic waist or belt loop styles, navy or khaki (tan or stone), no more than 2” above the knee

Pants – elastic waist or belt loop styles navy or khaki (tan or stone-also includes corduroy)

Jeans – elastic waist or belt loop styles, blue wash denim

Oxford Cloth Button Down – short or long sleeved, light blue or white (no emblems)

Polo Style Shirts – short or long sleeved, white, navy, or field trip shirt (with collar and placket) no emblem unless LRCA emblem.

Turtlenecks and Under Shirts – short or long sleeved solid navy or white (may be worn only under a uniform shirt – for example Under Armor)

Belts - must be worn with belt loops any style and color

Shoes - closed toe, neat, and clean any color

Socks – to be worn at all times any style and color

Sweatshirts – worn inside or outside the building, solid navy or white – no emblems

Sweaters – worn inside or outside the building, solid navy or white – no emblems

Outerwear - Coats, jackets, sweatshirts, hats (only worn outside the building) any style and color

Hair – trimmed off the ear and collar, out of eyes, and conservative style (no mohawks). Certain ethnic distinctions will be considered when in line with a student’s heritage. Natural color.


DRESS CODE – GIRLS

Shorts – elastic waist or belt loop styles, navy or khaki (tan or stone), no more than 2” above the knee

Pants – elastic waist or belt loop styles, navy or khaki (tan or stone, also includes corduroy), regular or capri length

Jeans – elastic waist or belt loop styles, blue wash denim (regular or capri length, neutral stitching) no embellishments

Jumpers – K4-4th graders - may be worn with a white Peter Pan collared short or long sleeved shirt school (no more than 2” above the knee), navy, khaki (tan or stone) or school specific plaid

Polo Style Dress – K4-4th graders – short or long sleeved, with collar and placket (no more than 2” above the knee), navy – no emblems

Skirts and Skorts – elastic waist or belt loop styles (no more than 2” above the knee), navy, khaki (tan or stone) or school-specific plaid

Bloomers/Shorts – worn under jumpers, skirts, or dresses (should not be seen below the hemline navy, khaki (tan or stone) or white

Oxford Cloth Button Down – short or long sleeved, light blue or white - no emblems

Polo Style Shirts – short or long sleeved, (with collar and placket), white, navy, or field trip shirt; no emblems unless LRCA emblem

Turtlenecks and Under Shirts – short or long sleeved , (may be worn only under a uniform shirt – for example Under Armor), solid navy or white

Belts - must be worn with belt loops (no ribbons, scarves, or other items worn as belts), any style and color

Shoes - closed toe, neat, and clean, any color

Socks – to be worn at all times, any style and color

Leg wear – tights and ankle length leggings (to be worn under a jumper or skirt) solid navy or white

Accessories – hats, scarves, and gloves (only worn outside the building), any style and color

Sweatshirts – worn inside or outside the building, any LRCA sweatshirt or solid navy or white – no emblems

Sweaters – worn inside or outside the building, solid navy or white – no emblems other than LRCA

The administration has the final word on a student’s dress for all school events and reserves the right to change any of the dress code rules during the school year and to provide guidelines for events. Any exceptions must be approved ahead of time by administration.
