High School Spanish Teacher

Job Description:
Little Rock Christian Academy seeks a full-time high school Spanish teacher committed to excellence in education through the lens of a Biblical worldview. The Spanish teacher will help students grow as confident communicators and thoughtful learners, fostering lifelong learning as they engage language as a gift from God and a bridge to serving others with truth, love, and humility.

Responsibilities & Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach high school Spanish (levels based on need; experience across multiple levels preferred).
  • Plan and deliver purposeful instruction that develops proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
  • Maintain a classroom culture of respect, clarity, and consistent expectations.
  • Maintain a classroom culture marked by the Warrior Way.
  • Communicate clearly with families and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Actively pursue growth as a professional educator and support the mission and culture of LRCA through faculty collaboration and school life.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arkansas teaching license (or ability/willingness to obtain).
  • Degree and/or coursework in Spanish; teaching experience preferred.
  • Fluency and high comfort level in speaking Spanish.
  • Previous PD and practice incorporating TPRS as an instructional practice or willingness to obtain TPRS training.

High School Physics Teacher

Little Rock Christian Academy seeks a full-time high school Physics teacher who is committed to academic excellence through a Biblical worldview and to building strong community within the high school. This teacher will guide students in exploring the order and wonder of God’s creation while helping them grow as curious thinkers and capable problem-solvers. The role includes teaching standard and Honors Physics, designing engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences that promote deeper understanding and real-world application, collaborating with the Science Department and high school faculty, pursuing ongoing professional growth, and building strong partnerships with families.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arkansas teaching license (or ability/willingness to obtain).
  • Teaching experience and educational coursework in science/physics.
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field (advanced degree welcomed).
  • Experience teaching honors-level coursework and/or leading high-quality lab instruction is a plus.

High School Biology Teacher
Job Description:
Little Rock Christian Academy seeks a full-time high school Biology teacher who is committed to educational excellence and to teaching through the lens of a Biblical worldview. The Biology teacher will help students grow as curious thinkers and capable problem-solvers, fostering life-long learning as they investigate the complexity and beauty of life in God’s creation.

Responsibilities & Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach high school Biology (standard and/or honors; additional science sections as needed).
  • Plan and deliver instruction that builds conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning.
  • Develop and supervise labs and investigations with strong safety practices, careful measurement, data analysis, and clear communication.
  • Maintain a classroom culture marked by the Warrior Way
  • Communicate clearly with families and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Actively pursue growth as a professional educator and support the mission and culture of LRCA through faculty collaboration and school life.

High School Mathematics Teacher 

Job Description:
Little Rock Christian Academy seeks a full-time high school Mathematics teacher who is committed to educational excellence and to teaching through the lens of a Biblical worldview. The Math teacher will help students grow as disciplined thinkers and confident problem-solvers, fostering life-long learning as they recognize the order and consistency of God’s creation through mathematical reasoning. The candidate should be able to teach statistics courses, as well as AP and concurrent-level math courses. 

Responsibilities & Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach upper-level high school mathematics; AP Statistics experience preferred.
  • Experience teaching advanced coursework, including Precalculus, Calculus, Dual Credit, and other upper-level math classes.
  • Maintain a classroom culture of respect, clarity, and consistent expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with families and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Actively pursue growth as a professional educator and support the mission and culture of LRCA through faculty collaboration and school life.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arkansas teaching license
  • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field; teaching experience preferred. Master's degree/graduate hours preferred
  • AP Statistics training and participation in College Board/AP professional learning are a plus.

High School Social Studies Teacher

Job Description:
Little Rock Christian Academy seeks a full-time high school Social Studies teacher who is committed to educational excellence and to teaching through the lens of a Biblical worldview. The Social Studies teacher will help students grow as thoughtful learners and discerning thinkers, fostering life-long learning as they study history, government, and human development.

Responsibilities & Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach a variety of high school social studies courses based on department needs, including courses such as Civics, U.S. History, AP Government, and AP Psychology.
  • Plan and deliver purposeful instruction that develops historical thinking, civic understanding, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Lead students toward deeper learning through inquiry-based instruction, discussion, analysis of primary and secondary sources, and evidence-based reasoning.
  • Help students evaluate ideas, institutions, and events with intellectual honesty, discernment, and an understanding of their responsibilities as citizens and neighbors.
  • Maintain a classroom culture of respect, clarity, and consistent expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with families and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Actively pursue growth as a professional educator and support the mission and culture of LRCA through faculty collaboration and school life.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arkansas teaching license 
  • Degree in History, Government, Political Science, Psychology, or a closely related field. 
  •  Master's degree/graduate hours preferred
  • Teaching experience preferred.

Middle School/ Junior High Learner Services 
Service students through a structured study hall providing support in all core subjects, partner with parents and teachers to support student needs, oversee implementation of accommodations in the regular classroom, and assist with testing accommodations. 

Desirable Candidates:

  • Are able to provide academic support in English, Math, History, Science, and Biblical Worldview
  • Are experienced in engaging students as active learners and problem solvers
  • Have flexibility in thinking in order to meet the needs of children at different levels
  • Are willing to contribute positively to the grade level team(s) in a collaborative setting as well as to the Learner Services team
  • Are committed to continued development as a professional
  • Are able to integrate Biblical Worldview in teaching

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license 
  • Experience working with students who have diagnosed learning disabilities
  • Strengths in Math and in Reading
  • Several years of classroom teaching experience

Wee Warriors Closing Staff

Wee Warriors is an early childhood education program and ministry that provides childcare for the faculty and staff of Little Rock Christian Academy. Working hours are from 3p.m. - 5p.m. (earlier start time negotiable).

Requirements:

  • Interest in providing Christ-Centered love and care to infants and toddlers (8 weeks-3 1⁄2 years)
  • 18 years or older
  • Current, valid Arkansas Drivers License
  • Agree to, and pass Arkansas DHS Regulatory Background Check
  • Physically able to lift and care for infants and toddlers

After School Care

LRCA is in need of part-time after school care workers (middle school and elementary positions available). Hours are from 2:30-6:00 Monday through Friday during the school year as well as a few days for teacher professional development (elementary only). 

Requirements:

  • Love for children
  • Work well with others
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Pass a drug screen and background check
