Academic and College Counseling
With the ever changing and increasingly competitive world of college admissions, Little Rock Christian Academy recognizes the importance of equipping students with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful both in high school and beyond.
The LRCA Academic and College Counseling office offers individualized counseling that begins in grade nine and continues through the senior year. Students are encouraged to discover their God-given gifts and talents, and to take charge of their futures in an environment that provides intellectual and spiritual challenge, reflection and support.
Our staff invests in getting to know each student, serving as a resource to parents, making personal connections with college representatives across the country, and ultimately assisting students in selecting a college that will allow them to reach their educational, and career goals. We cultivate this process by offering individual, family, and group informational meetings, visits with college representatives, SAT and ACT advice, assistance with applications, interviews, and scholarships.
Each fall LRCA hosts college admissions officers who meet with students and share their respective school information. Since 1997, we have graduated over 2000 exceptional students who demonstrate high levels of achievement. Recruiters now seek out LRCA students, knowing they will be well prepared and well rounded.
Due to COVID-19 and its extenuating circumstances, we will host only virtual visits this year.
For schools that typically see 5 or more students per visit at our school, please schedule a virtual visit at the following link . We respectfully ask that your institution to set up the meeting so that you can collect the information that you need from students but please share the link with the counselor(s).
If your institution has traditionally seen meetings with less than 5 students at our institution, the independent schools of Little Rock have joined together to offer a new opportunity for you to make your time with us more efficient. Each Monday and Wednesday beginning 9/2/2020 from 3:45-4:30 pm Central Time, we will have joint virtual visits available for institutions. Please request a time at this link. Again, the requesting institution should provide links for both students and counselors.
This opportunity is being offered by Baptist Preparatory School, Central Arkansas Christian, Episcopal Collegiate School, Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys, Little Rock Christian Academy, Mount Saint Mary's Academy, Pulaski Academy, and Subiaco Academy. Our hope is that these shared meetings will safely permit you to meet with a larger group of students while saving time and effort.
