Service Learning

High School Service Hours Requirement

All students in grades 9–12 are required to complete 20 hours of community service between June 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026.

  • At least 10 of the 20 hours must be completed off campus.

  • All service projects must be approved by the Director of Student Life, Sunshine Lee.

  • Seniors completing more than twice the number of required service hours upon graduation will receive the silver Exceptional Service Hours cord to be worn at Commencement.

Tracking Your Hours

Students should use the “Track It Forward” app to log their service hours.
This user-friendly app provides alerts, progress updates, and helpful tools to support students throughout the year.

Important Reminders

  • Students—not parents—are responsible for signing up for service projects.

  • Students are welcome to coordinate service opportunities with friends.

  • Approved off-campus organizations include:

    • CARTI

    • Arkansas Food Bank

    • Camp Aldersgate

    • Humane Society

    • (and many more!)

Note: Helping family members with chores, like raking leaves, typically does not count toward service hours.
