Summer in Warriorville Fine Arts Academy Descriptions
LRCA and non-LRCA students can dive into the Arts this summer through an immersive array of Fine Arts Academy offerings. Students’ creative juices will be flowing while also tapping into and expanding their God-given talents through the performing arts, visual arts, different mediums, musicality, and more. Sign your student(s) up today for a summer that’s sure to hit all the high notes for learning that’s fun, fun, fun!

Please note that the days for these offerings differ from Enrichment Classes. Fine Arts Camp fees are billed differently as well. Payment links are provided with their descriptions. Camp details are listed within the chronological lists by week in addition to separate tabs.

Instructor: Melony Fielder, Elementary Art Teacher
Get ready to have big, bold, and sometimes bumpy fun with art! Some of the art we will make will be bigger in size or scale. Other pieces will use bold colors, lines, and patterns. We will also make art that is full of texture. Some will be visual that you will see with your eyes. While some will be tactile that you will feel with your fingertips and some will even be 3-dimensional. It’s going to be awesome!

Big Bold Bumpy Art
Instructor: Melony Fielder, Elementary Art Teacher

Instructor: Addie Beardsley
Students are invited to get creative and explore new art techniques in our "Colors of Summer" Art Camp. Led by LRCA Class of 2024 graduate Addie Beardsley, students will create four to five original works utilizing various art mediums. Class sizes are small for individual instruction and attention.
Dates: July 7 - 10
Ages: Rising 5th - 8th Grade
Time: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. (5th/6th)*; 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. (7th/8th)*
Cost: $150

"Colors of Summer" Art Camp

Students are invited to get creative and explore new art techniques in our "Colors of Summer" Art Camp. Led by LRCA Class of 2024 graduate Addie Beardsley, students will create four to five original works utilizing various art mediums. Class sizes are small for individual instruction and attention.

Makerspace Mini Art Camp
Instructor: Kimmie Harrison
This is the week for your art-loving student to have a blast creating with a variety of mediums from paint to clay to pastels! They will learn new techniques and walk away with a sketchbook and several projects to showcase what they learned throughout the week. My hope is that it is a week where they begin to see more fully how they can connect with our Creator through the gift of art.

Bring out your inner Picasso as you join us for a week full of (sometimes messy) creative fun. We will make amazing art as we draw, paint, sculpt, and more. We will use a variety of art mediums, including some unusual ones, such as toothpaste, lotion, cookie sheets, and other items. There are so many things you can use to make art. Let’s create a masterpiece together!

Summer Expo in the Arts

Get ready to make waves this summer at our beach-themed Expo in the Arts Camp! With a focus on art and music activities designed for elementary-aged kids, this camp is the perfect combination of fun and education. Students will enjoy hands-on activities with instruments, singing and movement with beach ballads, creating art projects, and having fun playing music themed games. There’s something for everyone. Students will meet in person to hop on the "virtual school bus" to a musical summer camp! No experience required. We will virtually "visit" The North Pole, Candy Factory, Fall Hayride, Ski Resort, the Planets and more. With the rhythmic, movement, and melodic activities, students will connect with the camp experience all while practicing age appropriate musical concepts.
Dates: June 16 - 19
Ages: Rising 1st - 3rd Grade
Time: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.*

About Me: I'm the mom of two boys and two girls and a pianist at Immanuel Baptist Church. I enjoy shopping, decorating, working jigsaw puzzles, hanging out with my kids, and playing with my dachshund.
Why Art Matters: I have a passion for playing and teaching piano. Music is truly a gift from God and a beautiful expression of self, love, creativity, and worship. I believe the arts in any form are a representation of God's creativeness, beauty, power, majesty, and emotions.
