Spring Musical

General Information

Auditions for LRCA’s Spring Musical Anastasia will be held after Thanksgiving Break. We are thrilled to bring this classic story to Warrior Hall in April! The musical this year requires some specific ages and dance experience. Please read below for information regarding auditions. All auditions will take place in the drama room (Warrior Hall 708).

We will host a quick Audition Information Meeting via Zoom on Sunday, December 1st at 7pm and Tuesday, December 3rd at 7pm. Students and parents are required to attend one of the two meetings in order to audition. Come hear details about how to prepare and we’ll answer questions you may have.

Pointe Auditions: December 4 (Open to 7-12 grade)

Regular and 1st Timer Auditions: December 5 and 6 (Open to 9-12 grade)

Callbacks: December 9 (By director invite only)

Young Anastasia Auditions: December 11 (Open to 4-6 grade)

Young Alexi Auditions: December 12 (Open to 4-6 grade)
 

1st Timer Auditions-

Never been in a show before? No worries! Come to the 1st timer audition during lunch on December 5 and 6 in the ARC. No prep or registration is needed. We will walk you through it with no pressure.

Location: High School ARC

When: Lunch and after community on December 5 and 6

What to bring: Yourself!

What to prepare: Nothing! We can't wait to meet you!

Regular Auditions-

Regular auditions will take place on December 5 and 6 from 3:30-5:30pm. This audition is open to students in 9-12th grade. Below are a list of songs and dialogue to prepare for the regular auditions.

Location: Warrior Hall Drama Room

When: December 5 and 6 from 3:30-5:30pm

What to bring: Yourself! We will have copies of all dialogue and music for you.

What to prepare: Please be familiar with the sides and songs below.

We advise you to choose a song based on your voice type. This does not mean you are auditioning for that specific role. You could be considered for any role in the show. You only need to prepare one song for auditions. All students will read the Vlad/Dmitri/Anya side below.

Point Auditions-

Pointe auditions will take place on December 4 from 3:30-5:30pm. There is a specific song in the show that requires dancers to be on pointe. The directors are looking for a few students who have pointe experience. This audition is open to students in 7-12th grade. If cast, the student will also fill ensemble roles.

Location: Warrior Hall

What to bring: Leotard, tights, and pointe shoes

How to prepare: There is nothing to prepare. We will stretch at the beginning of the auditions. The choreographer will teach a combo at the audition.

Young Anastasia Auditions-

Young Anastasia Auditions will be on December 11 from 3:30-6pm. Auditions are open to any girl in 4-6th grade. The student must be able to sing, act, and dance. If cast, the student will also fill ensemble roles. Students are asked to sign up for a specific time slot to audition.

Young Alexi Auditions

Young Alexi Auditions will be on December 12 from 3:30-6pm. Auditions are open to any boy in 4-6th grade. The student must be able to sing, act, and dance. If cast, the student will also fill ensemble roles. Students are asked to sign up for a specific time slot to audition.
