"Stacking Sneakers" by Eva Stover
Through this graphite drawing, I hope the viewer not only sees my love of shoes, but also my love of unique clothing. The variety in sizes and lines throughout the piece signifies my love of being unpredictable and surprising. The deep shadows draw attention to the pristine condition of Air Force 1s and the bold colors of the Nike Turfs. Using graphite helps me develop the ability to portray color through black and white tones and deepen the depth of the photo. The varying direction of the shoes and boxes also keep the viewer's eyes continually moving between the shoes.
