Grade Level: Kindergarten
Students will learn coding skills as they design and program a simple digital animation about an animal in its habitat. We will use the PLTW curriculum "Animals and Algorithms" to explore the sequential nature of computer programs through hands on activities. This will be a fun and interactive time for students as they discover how technology can help them tell a story!
Grade Level: First-Second
Students will learn about the changing states of matter as they work together to design an insulating cover that will prevent an ice pop from melting. We will use the PLTW curriculum "Materials Science- Properties of Matter". Students will conduct experiments to determine the variables that cause matter to change states, and then use their results to complete their final project. It will be an exciting and interactive time for your student!
Grade Level: Third-Fourth
Students will be diving into the fun activities provided by the online video lessons of Generation Genius! Students will conduct experiments, design and build working models, and get moving with physics. It will be a class full of innovation and adventure as we learn how God's creation works. Check out the website for a peek at the fun! www.generationgenuis.com
