Dear LRCA Instrumental Families,

 

God's provision is never ending. Such is the case in His provision of the future leadership of our campus' thriving instrumental programs. 

 

It is my pleasure to announce Mrs. Angela Goff has accepted the position as LRCA Director of Instrumental Music effective immediately. Additionally, please join me in formally welcoming Mr. Taylor Brandon to the LRCA campus as our new Junior High Director and Assistant High School Director.  Please read more about Mrs. Goff and Mr. Brandon in their bios below.  It's worth repeating... God is so very good!

 

Both are anxious to meet students and families.  Mark your calendars for next Monday night's "Meet the New Directors" Ice Cream Social hosted by the Instrumental Parent Organization.  I am confident your student will leave excited about the 2018/19 school year!

DIRECTOR OF INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC: ANGELA GOFF

 

Angela Goff is very excited to serve the Lord as the new high school band director at LRCA! Mrs. Goff comes to Little Rock Christian with twenty years of teaching experience. She has most recently been employed as the middle school band director and assistant high school band director in the Malvern School District. Prior to moving to Arkansas, she lived in Miami where she was the department head of one of the largest private school instrumental programs in Florida. Mrs. Goff hold a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Southern Oregon 

University. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Music Education from Liberty University in Virginia. She enjoys being a guest conductor and clinician and enjoys mentoring young band directors. Mrs. Goff lives with her husband, Dr. Ken Goff, director of bands at UA Little Rock, her son, Joshua, who is a freshman at UA Little Rock, and her Yellow Labrador Bella. Mrs. Goff is looking forward to a fun and active year of music making!

JUNIOR HIGH DIRECTOR: TAYLOR BRANDON

 

Taylor Brandon is enthusiastic and ready to serve God and LRCA as assistant band and orchestra director! Mr. Brandon is from Conway, Arkansas. His Bachelor's degree is in Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas. While at UCA, Mr. Brandon was an active member of the wind ensemble, jazz band, symphony orchestra, and marching band. During his student teaching in the Conway Public Schools, he taught band classes for grades 6-8 and helped manage a large music program. Additionally, he has experience leading

sectionals for various jazz bands, wind bands, and marching bands while also performing in orchestras throughout Central Arkansas. Mr. Brandon is a composer and his music has been recognized nationwide. He is looking forward to mentoring LRCA students that are interested in musical composition. Mr. Brandon is excited for an energetic year of music making at LRCA!
