Shadow Day Registration

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where do I go?

Please arrive at the Welcome Center (house in the middle of campus).

What time should I arrive?

8:00 am.

What should I bring?

Please bring something to write with and write on, such as a pen and a notepad. Prospective students will have the chance to take notes and scribe classroom observations during their visit to campus.

What should I wear?

Please be mindful that the shadow day is an important part of the admission and interview process. Therefore, prospective students ought to dress appropriately, including a collared shirt and khaki pants or shorts (Grade 3-7). Shadow days take place on chapel days.

On High School shadow days our male students wear pants, button down shirts and ties, and female students wear "church casual" wear. We ask that your student be dressed in our chapel day dress code. We have extra ties in the High School office to loan if your student does not have a tie.

How long will I be on campus?

You have the option of being on campus for half or a full day. Students staying for a full day will be moved to a different grade level either before or after lunch.

Should I bring my lunch?

We would love to treat you to lunch in one of our 3 cafeterias. Valley Services cooks all of our lunches on campus.

Can I choose the classes that I shadow?

Please indicate to us a few classes that you would be interested in attending. We will do our best to pair you accordingly.

Can I choose a specific student to shadow with?

You are more than welcome to request a same gender, same age student to shadow with. If the student is approved by teachers, and the classes line up properly, we will be happy to pair you with him or her!

Can parents tour on the same day?

Yes! Simply select yes on the shadow sign up, and we will conduct group tours at 8:15 on the morning of your child's shadow day.
