The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the Educational Theatre Association’s student honorary organization. ITS recognizes the achievements of high school and middle school theatre students. Since 1929, EdTA has inducted more than 2 million Thespians into ITS.

Students can put their artistic vision on display for the opportunity to earn a scholarship to SCAD, the university for creative careers. The SCAD Challenge competition is open to current juniors and seniors in high school as of the 2017-18 academic year. Entries must demonstrate creativity, innovation and a strong understanding of aesthetics. A panel of SCAD faculty will review and evaluate submitted entries, and three winners will be selected from each category.

Auditions for "Steel Magnolias" will be held on August 22 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in Warrior Hall. Auditions are open to 9 - 12th graders. Register for auditions here.
