Overview
SUMMER IN WARRIORVILLE DAY CAMPS
Little Rock Christian Academy offers full-day camps to rising* K5 - 6th grade students and is only available to accepted LRCA families. This service is meant to provide families with high quality child care throughout the summer months. Focused around weekly themes, campers will participate in arts and crafts, group and individual play, story time, and field trips! Day camp will be located in the Elementary School building.
Full-time registration is offered in two three-week sessions. Each week, day camp will be held Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Enrolled students will have secured enrollment for the entire session and may attend as needed.
Session 1 – June 3-21 (no Fridays)
Session 2 – July 1-19 (no camp on July 4 or on Fridays)
$800 per session (includes daily hot lunch and all field trips)
While day campers will be allowed to join weekly enrichment classes in the mornings, these classes are NOT included in the day camp fee. Families must pay and register separately for these classes in order to participate.
Registration – A one-time, non-refundable $75 registration fee will be due at the time of your initial registration to secure your spot, however you may also pay in full at registration.
Registration for the June session opens March 1 and closes May 15.

Fine Arts Academy
Summer Music Lessons through the LRCA Fine Arts Academy
LRCA’s Fine Arts Academy is excited to offer a summer session for both private music lessons as well as some group experiences for June and July. Private lessons offered include guitar, piano, voice, percussion, some brass, and strings. Lessons meet weekly at the same time each week. Group opportunities are offered for beginning piano.
Summer is a great opportunity to learn something new or refine a student’s skill!
Dates/times, ages, and tuition vary per class.

MUSIC & VOICE LESSONS
Beginning Piano Lessons
Weekly 40 minute small group lessons for students who are new to piano and have never taken lessons. Meets at the same day/time each week. Student should have access to a piano for daily practice.

Summer Expo in the Arts

Get ready to make waves this summer at our beach-themed Expo in the Arts Camp! With a focus on art and music activities designed for elementary-aged kids, this camp is the perfect combination of fun and education. Students will enjoy hands-on activities with instruments, singing, and movement with beach ballads, creating art projects, and having fun playing music themed games. There’s something for everyone. High School Songwriting Camp
High School Songwriting Camp
Join us for a high school songwriting camp, where you'll dive into the exciting world of music creation! Over the course of four days, each session lasting for two hours, you'll learn the basics of songwriting and have the opportunity to craft your own original tunes. You will be guided through the process, from coming up with ideas and lyrics, to how to construct the perfect chord structure for your own music. Students attending the camp need to know a minimum of 5 chords on their preferred instrument (guitar,piano, etc.). Whether you're a complete newcomer to songwriting or just looking to improve your skills, this camp is the perfect way to jumpstart your songwriting journey.

"Colors of Summer" Art Classes (Grades 3-4 and 5-6)
"Colors of Summer" Art Classes
Students entering grades 3-6 are invited to get creative and explore new art techniques in our "Colors of Summer" Art Class! Led by LRCA Class of 2024 graduate Addie Beardsley, students will create 4-5 original works utilizing various art mediums. Class sizes are small for individual instruction and attention.

Whether you have never taken the ACT or are looking to improve your score, ACT Bootcamp is for you. This one week course will assess where you are, identify your personal strengths and weaknesses, and develop a plan for improvement. We will teach drills, skills, and strategies to improve your score and save you time on the test. You’ll have loads of practice to get you in shape for test day.

All About Chocolate
Instructor: Lakisha Young
This class is designed for beginners, or those wishing to learn more about how to use chocolate in delicious treats. We will learn about the different types of chocolate, heating and cooling techniques, and how to decorate treats. If your child has a food allergy, please notify us.

Cooking Class

Come join the fun with friends and go exploring in the kitchen by learning how to cook, bake, and also establish healthy eating habits. We will learn how to follow the instructions of a recipe, how to work with others, safety in the kitchen, and will also make lots of yummy treats. Students will each take home their own cookbook, apron, and a small set of kitchen utensils. It will be a fun week full of cooking adventures!

Join us in the STEM lab as we explore the science of flight! I will be teaching children the principles of air pressure through fun hands-on experiments and we will explore the mysteries of how things rise, soar, and zoom through the atmosphere. Students will experiment with hot air balloons and watch them rise with our indoor heated balloon tester. Students will also enjoy some outdoor fun as we experiment with various kinds of planes and rockets. We will have a blast learning that you can make anything fly!

Warrior Soccer Camp

Warrior Soccer Camp is designed for both new and experienced soccer players. New players get an introduction to foundational skills and fun skill-building games. More advanced players take part in challenging drills and fast-paced games. Warrior Soccer coaches and current high school team members lead each session and create a fun and encouraging environment for all campers.

A Trip through History with the American Girls!
Instructor: Lindsey Greenwald
In this class, we will have a tea party in Colonial Williamsburg, make a rag doll just like the pioneers, and more as we explore four different eras in history through the eyes of four original American Girl Dolls. Join Felicity in the original 13 colonies and the American Revolution; Kirsten in her immigration from Sweden to the unexplored West; Samantha at the turn of the century under President Teddy Roosevelt; and Molly on the home front during World War II. Girls are encouraged to bring their own doll to learn alongside them each day.

Calling ALL girls who are ready to have some fancy fun! Come be “POSH” with Fancy Nancy and learn all the tricks of being fancy. We will spend each day doing fancy and exciting activities from some of the Fancy Nancy books: Fancy Nancy, Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy, Bonjour Butterfly, and Fancy Nancy’s Words- A-Z to name a few. We will make crafts related to the book theme each day and play fun games. We will also learn fun lessons from Fancy Nancy. Don’t forget your fancy clothes and get ready to have some fun!

Tea Party and Manners with Mrs. Anna (for girls)
Instructor: Anna Goad
You are cordially invited to a week long Tea Party with Mrs. Anna. We will learn our manners and practice using them. We will learn why our manners matter and how we can show others respect. We will enjoy "Tea" (water/sprite) in REAL Teacups. Don't forget We'll have snacks and games. We will have a very girlie and very fun week including dance parties. Hope to see you there.

The Great Outdoors

Track and Field Camp

Run, Jump, Throw! Learn the amazing sport of track and field as we explore the various events that make it one of the most popular and oldest sports in the world. This camp will be hosted by LRCA coaches and runners. Prepare to have fun, try new things, compete, and sweat!

Around the World

Warrior Olympics

This summer, the Olympic Games are coming to LRCA in this exciting week of competition, fun, and learning. Competing on different teams, students will immerse themselves in the experience of becoming an athlete, encouraging their friends, and racing to win gold. We will also take time to learn about the history of the Olympic games, the countries involved, and the true spirit of competition with an emphasis on Christ-like sportsmanship. The Warrior Olympics will primarily focus on sports related to track and field…with a fun summer twist.

Cooking Class

Come join in on the fun with friends and go exploring in the kitchen by learning how to cook, bake, and also establish healthy eating habits.
We will learn how to follow the instructions of a recipe, how to work with others, safety in the kitchen, and will also make lots of yummy treats.
Students will each take home their own cookbook, apron, and a small set of kitchen utensils. It will be a fun week full of cooking adventures!

Football Camp

The Warrior Football Camp is a non-contact, skills teaching camp that is designed to give each athlete a solid foundation in the football fundamentals needed to excel at any position. Led by members of the Warrior Football staff, each player will receive hands-on instruction as they participate in drills and practice simulating those of the Warrior Football Team.

High School Songwriting Camp

Join us for a high school songwriting camp, where you'll dive into the exciting world of music creation! Over the course of four days, each session lasting for two hours, you'll learn the basics of songwriting and have the opportunity to craft your own original tunes. You will be guided through the process, from coming up with ideas and lyrics, to how to construct the perfect chord structure for your own music. Students attending the camp need to know a minimum of 5 chords on their preferred instrument (guitar, piano, etc.). Whether you're a complete newcomer to songwriting or just looking to improve your skills, this camp is the perfect way to jumpstart your songwriting journey.

Warrior Tennis Camp
Coaches: Blane Covert and tennis staff
Led by Dr. Blane Covert, one of the LRCA’s Varsity Tennis coaches and long time pro at Chenal Country Club, the Warrior Tennis Camp introduces new players to the basic strokes of the game and teaches advanced technique and strategy to players with tennis experience. While participating within the framework of good sportsmanship, campers will rotate through technique stations (including serve, forehand, backhand, slice backhand, forehand volley, backhand volley, overhead, and drop shot), improve their strokes through fast-paced drills, participate in games, and compete in supervised matches.
Camp fee: $160 (Provide t-shirt size at registration)

The Warrior Wrestling Camp is for rising 5th-7th graders that are interested in learning the fundamentals of wrestling. Our Varsity Wrestling coaching staff, with a combined 50 years of experience, will be there to teach the practical and basic skills needed to safely participate in the sport.
