All-Region Choir Announced
All-Region Choir was announced and eight LRCA high school students received spots in this prestigious group. One student, Meg Sinha, also qualified for All-State. These girls and many of the other high school choir students tried out in front of a group of judges, competing against thousands of other students for a chair. Individual musicians taking part in the competition perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument or voice part, Emily Knox, one of the High School Choir directors, said. The highest-ranking musicians judged at the Regional Level competitions qualify to perform at the state level, she added. Directed by nationally recognized conductors, these All-State ensembles rehearse for three days, and perform on the closing day of the annual Arkansas Clinic/Convention.
