Two Artists Place in Thea Competition
Little Rock Christian was the only school to have two students place in the Thea visual arts competition on March 2. Seniors Lillie Greer and Maggie Maddison placed 5th and 10th, respectively, in this year's competition.The Thea Foundation for the Arts awards scholarships to Arkansas high school seniors based purely upon talent in six areas of fine arts: visual arts, performing arts, creative writing, slam poetry, fashion design, and film. This year in visual arts, students had to create a piece of artwork responding to the theme "Grandiose and Oversaturated." Lillie Greer’s piece “Esperanza” won 5th place (top) and Maggie Maddison’s piece “Times Square Alternate Dimension” won 10th place (bottom). "
